Form check

Form check app: your phone camera checks every rep

A form check app watches you train through a camera and tells you what your form did. VeraForma does it on a plain phone camera: it draws the measured angle on your body, names the fault and shows you the rep where it slipped. Free to start, with the fix spoken in your ear on Premium.

How it works

What separates a form check from a rep counter.

It shows the number it measured.

Not a verdict word. The line is drawn on your body and the degrees are on screen, so you can see what the call was made on. How the camera coach works →

It shows you the rep.

A photo of the rep where your form slipped, replayed while you rest. A fault you cannot picture is a fault you will repeat.

It tells you where the phone goes.

Some faults are only visible from the side and some only face-on. If the view cannot carry the call, the app tells you where to move the phone instead of guessing from the wrong angle.

VeraForma beside five apps that watch you move.

Every competitor cell has a numbered source below. Not found = not in the store listings and vendor pages we read. Partly = it does some of it, as the note says. Disputed = the company’s own pages and an independent review do not agree. Not compared = a cell we have not filled for that app. Figures carry the date we read them; spot something out of date and email VeraFormaApp@gmail.com.

The limit of this table, stated plainly: we read what each company published about its own product, and an independent review where one existed. A company leaving a feature out of its own pages is not proof the feature does not exist — it is proof of what it chose to lead with. Every source is one tap away, with the date we read it.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is a form check app?

An app that watches you train through a camera and tells you what your form did, instead of only logging the weight and the reps you typed in. The useful ones name the specific fault and show you what they measured.

Can a phone camera really check your form?

It can measure what it can see. VeraForma draws the line it measured on your body and puts the degrees on screen, so the call is visible rather than asserted. When the view cannot carry a call — a side-on fault filmed face-on — it tells you where to move the phone instead of guessing.

Do I film from the side, or facing the phone?

Both, depending on the exercise, and the app says which view each one needs before you start. Prop the phone where it can see all of you; if it needs to move, you get told where.

Does my video leave my phone?

No. The camera reads you on your phone and your form-check video stays there unless you choose to send it. What syncs from a watched set is data, never a picture. Your data →

Which exercises does it check?

The movements the app programs, and it names the exercise as you start moving rather than making you pick from a list. The form guides, exercise by exercise →

What does it cost?

The camera form watch is free, along with your movement screen and Phase 1 of your program. Premium is $29.99 a month or $249.99 a year and speaks the fix while you move. Pricing →
