A Sword Health alternative you can actually buy.

Sword is good, and the closest thing on this list to what we do. It is also impossible to get unless your employer bought it.

The one question

Does it ever look at you?

Sword Health is AI physical therapy with a Doctor of Physical Therapy behind it. On 13 October 2026 we read its own US App Store description, word for word, and counted. The word “camera” appears zero times. So we put the simple question to it: when you train, who is watching the set?

Sword Health: “Motion-tracking technology and real-time conversational guidance to ensure proper form”, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy designing the plan.

This is the one app on this list we would not claim to beat on clinical depth. It has clinicians; we have a Master Trainer and we say so.

VeraForma: your phone camera, during the set, drawing the measured angle on your body — and a NASM Master Trainer who settles it if you think the camera got a rep wrong.

VeraForma beside Sword Health, row by row.

Every Sword Health cell is from its own US App Store listing, read on 13 October 2026. “Not found” means it is not in what that company wrote about its own app — not that the feature cannot exist.

Before you switch

What Sword Health does better than us.

Licensed physical therapists, an FDA-listed device history, and a clinical programme we do not claim to match.

If your employer or health plan offers Sword, take it. If they do not — and most do not — you cannot buy it at any price, and that is the gap VeraForma fills. We also cover the training, the food and the sport programme that a pain programme does not.

And the limit of this page, stated plainly: we counted a word in a store listing. A company leaving “camera” out of its own description is not proof it has no camera feature — it is proof of what it chose to lead with. The listing we counted is linked below so you can check it in one tap, and if Sword Health ships a camera coach tomorrow this page is wrong the next day. That is why it carries a date.
