A Hevy alternative that checks the form, not just the volume.

Hevy shows your friends what you lifted. VeraForma shows you what your knees did while you lifted it.

The one question

Does it ever look at you?

Hevy is a workout log with a social feed. On 13 October 2026 we read its own US App Store description, word for word, and counted. The word “camera” appears zero times. So we put the simple question to it: when you train, who is watching the set?

Hevy: Nobody. Its exercise videos are demonstrations of the movement, not a check on yours.

Its listing offers “free high-quality videos for you to focus on your form” — those are demonstrations to copy, which is a different thing from a camera watching your set.

VeraForma: your phone camera, during the set, drawing the measured angle on your body — and a NASM Master Trainer who settles it if you think the camera got a rep wrong.

VeraForma beside Hevy, row by row.

Every Hevy cell is from its own US App Store listing, read on 13 October 2026. “Not found” means it is not in what that company wrote about its own app — not that the feature cannot exist.

Before you switch

What Hevy does better than us.

The social feed. Following friends’ lifts and copying their routines is genuinely motivating and we have nothing like it.

If the feed is what keeps you going to the gym, that is worth more than any feature on a comparison table. VeraForma is the one you add when you want to know whether the lifts were good.

And the limit of this page, stated plainly: we counted a word in a store listing. A company leaving “camera” out of its own description is not proof it has no camera feature — it is proof of what it chose to lead with. The listing we counted is linked below so you can check it in one tap, and if Hevy ships a camera coach tomorrow this page is wrong the next day. That is why it carries a date.
